For the first time, the creators managed to simulate a real-life car model in a mobile racing game realistically. Jumps, crashes, drifts, flips � this is all carried out in the game to recreate the thrill of real racing. The game engine for "HUMMER® Jump and Race" calculates the road behaviour of the car models in real-time, causing the game SUVs to bounce and spin after spectacular jumps, just like their real-world counterparts would.

The gamer has three models to choose from: HUMMER® H2®, H2® SUT or H3™. In a game genre whose main focus is speed, the choice of SUVs as vehicles may seem a bit unusual at first. Yet, making HUMMER® SUVs the star in the game, enabled the developers to include thrilling and challenging tracks (including desert and off-road) and changing weather conditions (including rain and fog).

The adaptive AI in this game is appealing for beginners and advanced players of this genre alike. Onscreen opponents will adapt their driving behaviour according to the skills of the gamer. Available features like drifting or the deployment of nitro injection, which are popular in the racing genre throughout all game platforms, further enhance the gaming experience of "HUMMER® Jump and Race". Upon finishing the championship, the gamer is invited to upload his/her result to the "Red Pyramid" server and it can then be compared to those of gamers from all around the world.

The game is based on J2ME with the use of 3D API JSR-184 and Mascot Capsule, extending the range of phones that support it.
